As most of us should know, yesterday was Sunday. I'd spent Saturday night at Becca's house(tons of fun), so I got to wake up and freak because I was not in a house that was mine...
LOL.. Not really though. I didn't freak out. I was just like "Where am I again? Oh... Yeah... Becca's... Okay.". LOL...
Anyways, we went to Sold Out(high school youth group meeting before church). We didn't really do much yesterday, though...
Well, as I THINK I typed a while ago, I'm taking a high school leadership class that Pastor Lou is teaching. Well, he told us that we would be serving Communion and that's what we did yesterday.
I was super nervous and what-not, but when I actually got up there and stood there, waiting to serve, it wasn't so bad. It looks like there are a LOT less people when you're up there. Colman prayed for the bread(we have crackers to symbolize the bread that symbolizes Christ's body) and then Pastor Lou asked me to pray for the wine(we have grape juice to symbolize the wine to symbolize Christ's blood). The only problem was that I was still chewing on the cracker, so there was a bit of an awkward pause before I was able to pray.... OOPS... But I did manage to swallow a little bit faster and so I was able to pray. Linda(Pastor Lou's wife) even came up to me after and said that my prayer was beautiful. I'm just happy to have gotten it out. Besides, I wasn't praying for the church's ears. I was praying for God's ears. And I thank Him that He can hear even when I'm not saying any verbal words.
So, yes. It went over pretty well.
After Communion, Pastor Lou taught on human understanding verses spiritual understanding using John 6 as his referance. It was a really good message and my Bible has quite a few more highlighted verses now.
After church, Nina and Josh went off to camp(Isaac, CJ, and Dani were already there). I didn't have any place to go besides home, so Caroline invited me over. We had a blast! We did THE most random stuff imagined(laughing uncontrolably the whole time) and wrote it all down so we could laugh about it(again) later! I was a LOT of fun!
So, yes. That was my Sunday.
fun yesterday
